Friends Connect in Oceanside, New York, provides the following services:

• 50 minute sessions in a small group setting to acquire social thinking skills through various fun activities-with a 10 minute review session for parents/guardians (Total: 60 minutes)
• Ages Pre-K through Adult
• Individual sessions as needed
• Parent Support Groups
• Groups to address social anxiety
• Social Cognitive Challenges can often interfere with reading and writing skills such as gestalt thinking, critical thinking skills and inferential thinking. Tutoring is available to address these issues as well
• Small group trips to local establishments so that learned skills can be applied and observed by the facilitator in a natural social setting (Grocery store, video store, ice cream parlor, etc.)
• Upon request, Donna Heit Katz will collaborate with other adults in the student's daily routine (teachers, therapists, counselors, etc) to ensure that everyone is on the same page
